Interior railings are unaffected. For porch and exterior work close to Commencement Bay we specify for the salt, using ornamental aluminum where its corrosion resistance helps or steel finished through a multi-step process, with exterior grade finishing over any hand applied detail.

Yes, and it is some of our favorite work. We can work from photographs or surviving fragments to match a historic pattern closely, echo a railing elsewhere in the house, or design something new that is faithful to the period. Because assembly and finishing are both done in our own shop, that kind of matching is well within what we do.
