Two things: the design is drawn for your specific staircase rather than adapted from a pattern, and the finishing is applied by hand. Forged elements are individually selected and composed for the piece, and hand painting, gold leaf, and rubbed patinas are worked element by element, so the variation between them cannot be replicated on another piece. The result is a commission, not a product.
