Do you travel over the Pass for ornamental work?
Yes. We serve Cle Elum, Roslyn, South Cle Elum, Suncadia, and the wider Kittitas County area from our shop in Kent. We come out to measure, build and finish the piece on the west side, then bring it over the Pass to install.
How do forged railings hold up to Cle Elum winters?
Interior work is unaffected. For exterior deck and porch railings we build and finish for deep frost, snow load, and freeze thaw, using ornamental aluminum where its rust free advantage helps or steel finished through a multi-step process, so a railing on a home that sits empty through winter stays sound.
Can you incorporate mountain or botanical motifs?
Yes, and it is some of our favorite work. Forged pinecones, leaves, branches, and mountain forms can all be worked into scrollwork and picked out with hand painting or leaf. Because assembly and finishing are both done in our own shop, the design can be developed specifically around your property and its setting.
Do ornamental railings suit a mountain or lodge interior?
Very much so. Forged metal sits naturally alongside timber and stone because it is another worked, textured material rather than a machined one. For a mountain home we often use hammered texture and blackened finishes, and motifs drawn from the setting, so the railing feels native to the building rather than imported from a city house.
