We specify weather-ready materials, marine-grade stainless for glass and cable, finished steel or aluminum, bronze where a patina is wanted, and engineer the railing for the actual wind load on an elevated deck. Sealed connections keep moisture out of the joints. Built this way, the railing holds its finish and stays crisp on an exposed Clyde Hill site for years.
